In this project, the client requested we convert the least used room in his house, the formal living room, into the most fun room in the house. We installed a 110” DaLite “Ultra Thin Bezel” projection screen paired with a Sony ES 4K video projector. All of the gear is located in a converted coat closet (who has enough coats to require a whole closet?) just around the corner. Monitor Audio speakers were chosen for the audio system with the center speaker and subwoofer living inside the cabinet. The front of the cabinet is acoustically transparent, allowing the sound to pass without distortion.
The system was completed with a motorized Lutron blackout shade and automated light dimmers to create the perfect atmosphere for the experience. Now, the room that no one used to go into is suddenly the room that whole family is enjoying together.
