On this project, the client wanted to have all of the AV and automation equipment located in one spot. This design is an elegant approach that provides for the greatest flexibility in wiring and interaction between all of the components. Three television systems, two of which are 5.1 surround sound, are fed from this location. Also, the home’s distributed audio system, camera system and lighting control are located here. And, since the rack is on soft castors, the entire rack can be rolled out of the closet for easy servicing.
This design also helps to keep the actual entertaining spaces cleaner and more clutter free as the clients did not need to house all of the gear in the individual rooms.
